We tend to lead busy lives, not taking the time to slow down, relax, and savor. Imagine living a life where you don’t get so stressed about situations and instead relax and enjoy yourself more!


Check out the following mantras—nurturing phrases—to help you relax. When repeated often, they help you chill, even while on the go!


I am calm.

I am at peace.

I release negativity.

I can handle whatever comes my way.

Let go and let God.


You can shorten these to one or a few words:

Calm

Let God.


TIPS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR MANTRA

  • Take a few slow deep breaths before you say it (aloud or in your mind). Through slow breathing you begin to relax, which will help you to feel receptive. When you feel receptive, you are more open and willing to believe, i.e., I feel calm, peaceful...

  • Designate times when you will repeat it, such as morning, noon, and night.

  • Keep your mantra where you will see it often, such as near your computer or in your cell-phone calendar.

  • Consider saying it before, during, and after a difficult situation.

  • The more you say it, the more it will help!
